*List of Computer Virus Hoaxes

These hoaxes usually arrive in the form of an email. They are usually sent in attempt to frighten or mislead users. Please disregard the hoax emails. If you do find one of these virus hoaxes in your email inbox, the best thing to do is simply delete the message. Please refer to this page whenever you receive what appears to be a bogus message regarding a new virus, or promotion that sounds too good to be true.

Remember: viruses are different than spyware. (to learn more about spyware go to What is spyware?)
